These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of yellowdown.com and its online tools, including the Snapchat video downloader (together, the "Service"), operated by YellowDown ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
YellowDown is a free web tool that helps you save publicly available Snapchat videos, such as Spotlight videos and public Stories, from a link you provide. The Service only works with public content. It cannot access private snaps, chats or friends-only Stories.
YellowDown is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Snap Inc. "Snapchat" and "Spotlight" are trademarks of Snap Inc. and are used here only to describe what the Service works with.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use the Service and the content you download. You agree that you will:
- Only download content you own, content you have permission to download, or content you are otherwise legally allowed to save, such as for personal, non-commercial viewing where the law permits.
- Not re-upload, sell, redistribute or use downloaded content commercially without the creator's permission.
- Not remove or hide credits, watermarks or other ownership information.
- Not use downloaded content to harass, impersonate or harm anyone.
- Not use bots, scrapers or automated scripts to send large numbers of requests, or try to overload, attack or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Not use the Service for anything illegal or in breach of Snapchat's own terms.
We may block access or limit requests from anyone who breaks these rules.
4. Copyright and content ownership
We do not own, host or store the videos you download. All videos remain the property of their original creators and rights holders. Downloading a video through the Service does not give you any ownership or licence to it.
5. Copyright complaints and takedown requests
We respect the rights of creators. If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your copyright, email founder@yellowdown.com with:
- Your name and contact details.
- A description of the copyrighted work and the link to the content concerned.
- A statement that you are the rights holder, or authorised to act for them, and that the information you provide is accurate.
We will review every valid request and take appropriate action, which may include blocking specific links or accounts from being processed by the Service.
6. Our website content
The YellowDown name, logo, design and the text on this website belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission, except for normal sharing of links to our pages.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is free and provided "as is" and "as available". Downloads depend on Snapchat and on third-party services, so some links may not work, and the Service may be slow, interrupted or unavailable at times. We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service at any time without notice.
8. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, we make no promises or warranties about the Service, including that it will be error-free, secure, always available, or that downloaded files will be complete, of a particular quality, or free from harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, YellowDown will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or from any content you download. You are solely responsible for making sure your use of downloaded content is lawful.
10. Your responsibility
You agree to cover any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise because you broke these Terms or misused content you downloaded through the Service.
11. Third-party links and services
The Service relies on, and may link to, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use YellowDown.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kerala, India.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
